Oud oil is an extremely rare and precious natural oil obtained from several species of Aquilaria trees found in north eastern India, Bhutan and parts of south east Asia.

Oud perfume made from this precious oil has been the favored scent of sultans and royalty throughout time, and was considered more rare and as precious as gold for centuries

Why does Oud perfume oil cost more than normal perfume?

 

Anyone who knows anything about this precious oil knows the laborious task to get the oil from the jungles of tropical monsoon Asia to your living room is a long and arduous journey. Get on a plane and fly to Borneo or India for example. Go into the jungle and find your Aquilaria tree, make sure it has been infected and contains the resin, cut it down and start carving all the resin soaked wood out from the center of the tree. When you are done get your distillation machine ready and start the long process of preparing and extracting this precious oil. How do I know my skin is not allergic to Oud?

 

Although we have never heard of anyone suffering from an allergic reaction to Oud, if you are prone to allergies, please consult your doctor before wearing Oud.

Are Oud fragrances gender specific?

 

Oud emanates a woody, rich, and potent fragrance that is not gender specific. However men and women might have a preference for the type of Oud they like. How do you use Oud and Bakhoor incense?


Bukhoor & Oud incense should be burnt over hot charcoal tablets. You will need to light the charcoal and then place it into an incense burner. Once the charcoal is red hot you can place a small amount of Oud or Bakhoor incense onto it. The smoke from the burning incense will infuse the air with it's amazing aroma. Once the smoke begins to die simply repeat the process
